I’ve seen a lot of people questioning why Taylor Swift didn’t walk the red carpet with Joe Alwyn at the Golden Globes and honestly…I kind of love that she didn’t. I saw this post once where someone was talking about how if Joe really wanted to, because he’s still a rather new actor, he could use Taylor to further his career. But he doesn’t. I think that the same principle could be used here. Tonight wasn’t about Taylor or their relationship. It was about Joe. And everyone knows that if Taylor would have joined Joe on the red carpet, it would have been more about her and their relationship than him. And their relationship isn’t solely about Taylor’s or Joe’s career. Or, even what the public has to say about it.
They’re both so conscious and respectful of each other’s feelings and careers. That might seem like the bare minimum, but that’s hard to genuinely find in celebrity couples, especially if it involves someone as high of a caliber as Taylor Swift.
